We’ve long been inspired by the work of Win NYC, the largest provider of family shelter and housing to homeless New York families, so today we’re so proud to feature Christine Quinn, Win’s president and CEO and the former Speaker of the New York City Council. (She was the first female *and* the first openly gay speaker; breaking boundaries is something she’s done a lot of in her impressive career.) In her time in politics, she played a crucial role in passing marriage equality in New York, she protected and grew affordable housing, she worked for early childhood education programs and access to nutritious food, and so much more. Brooke Shields spoke with her about her inspiring life in service, having the courage to follow her true path (without listening to naysayers), and how she approaches new beginnings. Check it out, then learn more about the amazing work of Win NYC at winnyc.org.
